Yong Lian

Dr. Yong Lian received the B.Sc degree from College of Economics & Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1984 and the Ph.D degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering of National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1994. He worked in industry for more than 9 years before joining NUS in 1996. He was appointed as the first Provost’s Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2011. Currently he is a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Lassonde School of Engineering, York University. His research interests include biomedical circuits and systems and signal processing. He has received more than US$21 million in research grants from various sources. He is the Founder of Clearbridge VitalSigns Pte Ltd, a start-up for commercializing wireless biomedical sensor technologies.
