Benoit Gosselin

Dr. Benoit Gosselin obtained the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees both in Electrical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, Montréal, QC, Canada, in 2009. He was finalist for the best 2008-2009 Ph.D. thesis award.

Dr. Gosselin worked on the design and test of a neuroelectronic sensor with Victhom Human Bionics Inc., Quebec City, QC, Canada, between 2003 and 2005, and he held a mixed-signal layout design position at PMC Sierra Inc., Montreal, QC, Canada in 2009. He was an NSERC Post-Doctoral Fellow with the GT-Bionics Lab, at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2010. He is presently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Laval University, Quebec City, QC, Canada, where he is heading the Research group on biomedical microsystems.

Dr. Gosselin is a member of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society, and the IEEE Circuits and systems Society.

Dr. Gosselin research interests cover biomedical VLSI circuit design, implantable/wearable medical devices, ultralow-power microsystems, brain computer interfaces, integrated neural interfaces, CMOS micro/nanoelectronics, rehabilitation engineering, low-power RFIC and optical biotelemetry, wireless sensor interfaces, assistive technology, energy-efficient biosignal processing algorithms, bio-inspired circuits and systems.
